Dear Members,
As we approach the start of a new season, we would like to update you on some important developments regarding our competition structure.
As many of you are aware, at the last AGM members voted for the Board to form a sub-committee to review the current draw and scoring system, and to explore alternatives that would better serve the future of Fly Fish Australia.
This sub-committee was made up of representatives from each state, along with a Board member, to ensure fair and balanced input. After a thorough review and careful consideration, the committee concluded that the current system is no longer suitable for FFA going forward.
We are pleased to announce that a new program, FlyComps, has been selected to manage the draw and scoring system for the upcoming season. FlyComps is widely recognised as a more modern, efficient, and user-friendly platform that will streamline competition management and enhance the overall experience for both competitors and organisers.
Further details, including guidelines on how to use the system, will be provided prior to the start of the season. Training and support will also be available to ensure a smooth transition for all members.
We would like to thank the sub-committee for their time and effort in carrying out this important review, and we look forward to working with you all as we enter an exciting new chapter for Fly Fish Australia.
Kind regards,
Erhan Cinar
On behalf of the FFA Board
