XXVII Australian Fly Fishing Championships – Competition Sectors and Group Rotations

It is with sad news that Fly Fish Australia and Sport Fly Fishing New Zealand have agreed not to go ahead with the planned Oceanias competition in New Zealand in March 2022

Fly Fish Australia is looking for volunteers to help at this year’s Nationals.

Recently all members were notified that the Nationals proposed for December 2021 have been postponed to the 23rd – 26th of February 2022.

The 2020 Australian Fly Fishing Championships is now set for 21st to 24th April 2021 at Miena in Tasmania.

It has been decided to postpone the National Championships to a date in April 2021. The postponement is due to the COVID outbreak that has occurred over the last few days in parts of Greater Sydney and the travel restrictions that have been imposed by the Tasmanian Government in response. FFA has received advice from the Commonwealth Flyfishers Association that the Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championships scheduled for Islay, Scotland in 2021 have been postponed 12 months to 2022. The letter explaining the decision is attached for information.
