The following report was provided by the Masters Captain:
Here is my Captain’s report for the FFA Masters Team which recently competed in Kamloops BC Canada.
All team members were 100 percent committed to doing well and did their utmost to succeed. Coming 9th was disappointing for all. Financial management of the team went smoothly and cost was within budget. One disappointment to the team was the lack of on ground support due to many reasons.
The membership of FFA needs to recognise that the Fips Mouche Masters World Championship is (now) a very serious World Championship. When anglers of the calibre of Valerio Santi Amantini of Italy ( former World Seniors Champion and Masters Champion) finishes 12th; Campbell Baird of Ireland( current Commonwealth Champion) finishes 26th and the legendary Pablo Castro Pinos of Spain( 4 times World Seniors Champion ) finishes 16th it tells you all you need to know about the quality and depth of talent competing.
John Fisher
Team Captain
